Clint Green launched Green Acres Outdoor Services in February 2018, and he’ll be the first to tell you it wasn’t part of some grand plan. After spending 40 years in the trucking industry — managing recruiting operations for some of the largest carriers in the country — Clint decided he was done working for corporations that could make you a hero one day and show you the door the next.
He started small: a five-ton dump trailer behind a truck, hauling gravel. Within 90 days, he had a full dump truck being built. He reinvested, added equipment, and kept growing. What started as a backup plan became a business he’s proud of — one that works.
Green Acres is based in Troy, Illinois, just minutes from downtown St. Louis on the Illinois side of the river. The Metro East is the market Clint knows best, and it’s where he does most of his work.
Green Acres is a one-man operation, and that’s intentional. When you call, you’re talking to Clint. When we come out to estimate your property, that’s Clint. When the machine rolls onto your land, Clint is running it. There’s no crew turnover, no miscommunication between sales and the field, and no one who cares more about your property than the person who quoted the job.
Clint is also a proud member of the Illinois Land Improvement Contractors Association (ILICA), an organization dedicated to promoting quality construction, responsible land improvement practices, and professional resource management throughout Illinois. Being part of ILICA reflects his commitment to staying connected with industry best practices and delivering high-quality workmanship on every project.
Clint brings the same level of attention to a two-acre cleanup as he does to a 15-acre commercial clearing. The size of the job doesn’t change his standard. He’s built a client base largely through repeat business and referrals because, as he puts it, he treats every property like it’s his own.

Green Acres runs professional-grade forestry equipment, including a forestry mulcher capable of handling heavy brush, invasive species like Asian bush honeysuckle and honey locust, and wooded terrain that smaller operators simply can’t touch. Clint also operates dump trucks and gravel equipment for hauling and site work.

The Metro East is a unique market.
